The leading integrated marketing communications firm, Origin 8 Limited in collaboration with Invest in Africa, a non-profit organization that develops solutions for both public and private sector enterprises in Africa to support their growth organized a workshop on Wednesday, 30th November 2022 dubbed “Modern marketing for revenue growth” to train Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The objective of the workshop was to equip SMEs with the adequate skills needed to adapt to modern ways of marketing and optimize modern marketing strategies to become more competitive in the marketspace and maximize revenue.
The facilitators include Kwesi Fiadjoe, Marketing and communications Expert and Susan Sakyiama, PR Manager both at Origin8 Limited through interactive sessions shared knowledge with the participants.The following key points were some highlights of the training:
- Marketing has evolved and modern marketing involves creative thinking, research, data analysis, strategy and the use of technology to promote and sell goods and services.
- Digital marketing which is now the new way of marketing has come to complement the traditional way of marketing and not to displace it.
- Marketing should be seen as an investment and not as an expense.
- Businesses must strategically plan and be intentional with marketing and avoid ad hoc marketing as much as possible.
Additionally, Michael Nartey our partner from Invest in Africa urged the participants to put the knowledge into practice and to look forward to workshops that would support the growth of their businesses.
