Chief Executive Officer of 4M Events FZ-LLC, Abu Dhabi-based aviation exhibition experts, Didier Mary has visited Origin8 Limited, official sponsorship arm for African Air Expo, the maiden Aerospace and Aviation Exhibition for Africa to be held in Ghana.
The expo, which is to make sure our airports are safe, will also bring foreign investors and foreign exchange into the country.
The two giant event companies have partnered to host a remarkably successful event in Ghana; Origin8 is a total marketing communications company, and 4M Events has carved a niche in aviation exhibitions.
Didier Mary, who has 20 years of event organising experience, and specialised in aviation exhibitions, brings on board, a truckload of technical expertise.
4M Events was approached by the French government in 2011, and organised the first aviation expo in Cannes, dedicated to private aviation in 2012. Since then, they have been hosting the France Air Expo each year, in either Lyon or Paris.
In an interview during a meeting with the CEO of Origin8 Limited, William Ansah, and Expo Consultant, Kwesi Taylor, Didier said he had been approached to expand the event to Africa, as the South African expo is strictly military. “A real expo with aircrafts on exhibition and conferences is non-existent”, he stated. “We chose Ghana because it is the best location on the map, and it is safe and peaceful; though we do not have an airline here, the passenger traffic is good”, he added.
There will be an expo in Africa every other year after this, rotating from country to country.
The maiden Aerospace and Aviation Exhibition for Africa is the first general Air Expo to be held in Africa, running from October 24 to 26, 2017 at the Kotoka International Airport.
This event brings together major industry players in the aviation sector to discover latest developments and innovations. It also provides an opportunity for manufacturers and service providers in the sector to explore and meet potential customers, the opportunity to discuss best practices in the industry, and share ideas in seminar sessions.
Origin8 and 4M Events are working together; driving the sponsorship of this expo, and conducting the necessary negotiations to execute the event. Media partners on board include Ghanaweb, Ghana News Online and The Corporate Guardian.
